Finding My New NormalI'm an American living in London with my amazing husband. On August 13, 2010 our lives were shattered when we lost our son at 36 weeks pregnant. After struggling with infertility for many years, we thought we were finally going to have our miracle baby. Sadly, this is not what happened and I struggle every day to make sense of it all. But I am determined to get my life back. Not my old life of course, but a new life,,, a new normal. I have no idea how I am going to find it yet but I just know I will. We decided to try for another baby using an egg donor. In October of 2011 we got the wonderful news that I'm pregnant again. Now we're just hoping and praying that this baby sticks around and becomes our take home baby. As I am quickly realizing, pregnancy after loss is no walk in the park. So watch for lots of writing about how The Hubby and I navigate our way through it all. I'm starting to think that my new normal is going to be much more complicated and stressful than my old normal ever was.
